POLITICAL CAREER
Elected to the Senate in 2002, Brown was commissioner for St. Joseph County from 1989 to 1998, Sturgis City Commissioner, and worked on the St. Joseph County Dole for President campaign in 1996. He was elected to the House in 1998.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Brown worked as Vice President for the Freeman Manufacturing Company and an instructor for Glen Oaks Community College.

EDUCATION
Brown received his B.A. from University of Missouri in Kansas City and his M.P.A. from Western Michigan University.

PERSONAL
Brown was born July 6, 1954.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Brown is a member of the Sturgis Ambassadors Club, the Sturgis Neighborhood Program, the Sturgis Rotary, the Sturgis United Fund, the St. Joseph County Historical Society. He also worked on U.S. Rep. Fred Upton's military academy advisory committee.
