POLITICAL CAREER
Elected to the Senate in 2002, Kuipers worked on campaigns for Rep. Jessie Dalman, Sen. Bill Van Regenmorter, and U.S. Rep. Peter Hoekstra. Kuipers was also elected to the House in 1998. He has been Majority Caucus Chair since 2003.

WORK EXPERIENCE
Kuipers has been a manager at Hollandia Gardens since 1983.

EDUCATION
Kuipers received his B.A. from Calvin College and his M.A. in Managment from Aquinas College.

PERSONAL
Born August 8, 1961, Kuipers is married to Jodi. Kuipers has three children: Corey, Jennalee, Mackenzie.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Kuipers is a member of the Holland Area Chamber of Commerce, the Holland Home Builders, the Holland Special Education Ministries, the Holland Rotary Club, the Holland Kiwanis, Kids Hope, U.S.A., Kids in Career Kaleidoscope, and the Lakeshore Links.
