POLITICAL CAREER
Elected to the Senate in 2002, Toy has been Assistant Majority Whip since 2003. She was also elected to the House in 1998 and was Republican Caucus Chair from 2001 to 2002. Toy was Livonia City Treasurer from 1996 to 1998, Livonia City Council President from 1987 to 1995, and a member of the Schoolcraft Community College Board of Trustees from 1979 to 1986.

Toy is co-owner of Cardwell Florist.

Toy received her B.G.S. from University of Michigan.

Toy was born December 22, 1951.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Toy is active with the Livonia Ecology Commission, the Livonia Youth Commission, the Italian American Club of Livonia, the Livonia Business and Professional Women's Club, the League of Women Voters, the Livonia Chamber of Commerce, and the Livonia Historical Society.
