POLITICAL CAREER
DeRoche was first elected Speaker of the House in 2005 and served in this capacity until the change in Majority Leadership in the House in the 2006 election. Following that election, DeRoche was elected by his GOP colleagues as House Minority Leader for the 94th Legislature. He is also active on the advisory board for Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University. He was formerly a member of the Novi City Council 1997-2002 before being elected to the House in 2002.

Rep. DeRoche was the former of President, Bidcorp.com, Inc.

EDUCATION
DeRoche earned his BA at Central Michigan University.

PERSONAL
Rep. DeRoche was born Born Oct. 4, 1970 and is married to Stacey with three children and anotherchild is expected in 2007.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Rep. DeRoche is an active in the Novi Chamber of Commerce.
