POLITICAL CAREER

Walsh was first elected to the Michigan House in 2008. He previously served as a Livonia City Council member and a member of the Livonia Planning Commission.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Walsh is an attorney. He is also a former Schoolcraft College Administrator. 

EDUCATION

Walsh graduated from Michigan State University in 1984 and then attended Wayne State University Law School graduating in 1987.

PERSONAL

John and wife, Janice, have two children.

CIVIC ACTIVITIES

Rep. Walsh served as a former chair of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce and the vice chair of the Schoolcraft College Board of Trustees. For the 2011-2012 session, Walsh chaired the House Judiciary Committee.
