Yonker, Ken (R)State Representative District 72
Rep. Ken Yonker was first elected to the Michigan House in November 2010. Previously, he won two school board elections in 2000 and 2004, but he lost a race for the U.S. House to Rep. Justin Amash in 2008.
Yonker is the founder and owner of Yonker's Landscaping Inc. and has served on the local industry board as trustee and president, as well as on the state Board of Directors and the legislative committee. Previously, he worked in management for one of West Michigan's largest and most respected construction companies.
After graduating from South Christian High School he went to work in the mission field with Wycliffe Bible Translators. Yonker also graduated from Michigan State University College of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Institute of Agricultural Technology.
Yonker is married to Amy, and they have four children: Eric, Jason, Matt and Caitlyn.
