POLITICAL CAREER
A former three-term member of the Michigan House representing the 79th House District, Senator Proos was the ranking minority member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Corrections and Human Services. Proos is a former legislative staffer to U.S. Rep. Fred Upton. Proos also served as chair of the Berrien County Republican Party and ran briefly in 2010 for Senate Majority Leader for the 2011-2012 session.

Former legislative staffer, member of the Michigan House and Vice President of Heritage Homes in Berrien County.
EDUCATION
He holds a bachelor of Political Science from Marquette University, Milwaukee, WI and a Master's in Higher Education Administration from Michigan State University.

Born December 10, 1969. Proos resides in St. Joseph with his wife Kristy and three children, Elena, Jack and Nora.
