Sen. Hunter was first elected to the House in 2002, where he served the Ninth District before being elected to the Senate in 2006.

Rep. Hunter is a former Project Manager, Detroit Economic Growth Corporation and staff policy analyst Detroit City Council.
EDUCATION
Sen. Hunter holds a BA in urban studies and public policy from Morehouse College.
PERSONAL
Hunter was born July 25, 1973. He resides in northwest Detroit with his wife RaShawn and their two sons, Jalen and Josiah.
CIVIC ACTIVITIES
Sen. Hunter is active in Crary/St. Mary's Community Council and the 8th Police Precinct Community Relations Organization.
